2025 Sampling Events
Kentucky Watershed Watch encourages all samplers to collect monitoring data during three annually coordinated events. Samplers have a one-month window during each of these events to collect and submit their data.

Sampler Training Workshops
Interested samplers should attend an in-person training workshop after completing the online training content to become certified Kentucky Watershed Watch samplers. These sessions offer an opportunity for new participants to practice sampling techniques and discuss logistical considerations with the trainer.
Introductory Training (program overview, field chemistry, R-card use)
In-Person Introductory Training Sessions are completed for 2025. Please check back in early 2026 for a training schedule and registration link. We anticipate training offerings to be held beginning in March.

Ohio River Basin Confluence, Louisville
October 16 -28, 2025
The Ohio River Way is partnering with the Ohio River Basin Alliance, Kentucky Waterways Alliance, Thomas More University and the Christina Lee Brown Enviromental Institute of the University of Louisville for "Confluence", a special joint summit on October 16-18 at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville.
Train-The-Trainer
Trainers will be helping KWW update existing samplers on new procedures and provide training guidance to new volunteer samplers.
