2026 Sampling Events
Kentucky Watershed Watch encourages all samplers to collect monitoring data during three annually coordinated events. Samplers have a one-month window during each of these events to collect and submit their data. In 2026, KWW is encouraging participation during a specific week of the month to boost participation.
May Sampling Event - SAMPLING SURGE WEEK is Sat, May 3 thru Sun, May 9
July Sampling Event - SAMPLING SURGE WEEK is Sat, July 5 thru Sun, July 12th
September Sampling Event - SAMPLING SURGE WEEK is Sat, September 6 thru Sun, September 13th
Sampler Training Workshops
To become certified Kentucky Watershed Watch samplers, interested individuals should attend an in-person training workshop after completing the online training modules. These sessions offer an opportunity for new participants to practice sampling techniques and discuss logistical considerations with the trainer.
NOTE: If you would like to arrange an in-person session to complete your training, please email contact@kywater.org to let us know what type of training you need and where you are located and we will do our best to meet your needs.

Saturday, September 12 from 10 am to 12 pm - Harlan at LiKEN Knowledge Office

A statewide meeting for Kentucky Watershed Watch will be held from 8:30/9:00 to 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 14, prior to the Summit kickoff.
Trainers
